Crimson Desert – Dragon’s Stone Chamber Puzzle Guide

Location and Access

Dragon’s Stone Chamber is a puzzle room tied to a large “?” marker near your early Hernand‑area camp in the highlands. From camp, look for a noticeable sinkhole on the map with a question mark next to it, then ride over and drop down carefully, using ledges to avoid fall damage. At the bottom, follow the north / northwest rock wall until you spot a stone mural and a sealed stone door; walk up and push the mural slab to enter the chamber.

Practical tip: if you have a lantern or scan‑type tool, you can trigger a memory on the mural first, but it is not required to open the way.

Puzzle Layout Overview

Inside Dragon’s Stone Chamber you will find:

  • A large dragon statue dominating one side of the room
  • A circular pit in the center containing three rotatable stone discs
  • A locked stone door opposite the entrance
  • A large wall mural that effectively acts as a stylized map of the surrounding area

The goal is simple: rotate the three discs into the correct orientations so the stone door unlocks.

Each disc corresponds to a specific symbol:

  • Disc 1: Sun & Moon
  • Disc 2: Scorpion / claw‑like emblem
  • Disc 3: Spiral

The “intended” solution is to find matching murals out in the world and copy their orientations onto the discs, but you can also go straight to the answer if you only care about the reward.

Environmental Clue Puzzles (Optional Route)

If you want to follow the designed puzzle path instead of brute‑forcing:

Sun & Moon mural (rivulet area)

  • Exit the chamber and use the chamber’s main mural as a rough, rotated map of the region.
  • Head toward a small rivulet north of the main river, near a minor settlement or healing‑house style building.
  • On a nearby cliff face you should find a mural showing the Sun & Moon together; note exactly how the combined symbol is oriented.

Scorpion and Spiral murals (outer gate stone wall)

  • From the Sun & Moon area, move toward the eastern / outer gate indicated on the chamber mural.
  • Beyond that gate is a large rock wall with two separate murals painted on it: one featuring a scorpion‑like emblem, the other a spiral.

  • Walk the full length of the wall and look up as well; the two images are easy to miss if you only scan at eye level.
  • Record the direction of the scorpion’s “claws” and which side of the spiral looks thicker or heavier.

These three outdoor murals are the key for setting each disc inside the chamber.

Disc Solutions and Practical Notes

Back in Dragon’s Stone Chamber, interact with the central pit and adjust each disc. A simple, player‑friendly way to set them is:

  • Sun & Moon disc: Rotate until the combined symbol is facing north.
  • Scorpion disc: Rotate until the claws clearly angle toward northwest.
  • Spiral disc: Rotate until the thickest part of the spiral sits in the upper‑right quadrant of the disc when viewed from above.

If the door does not open immediately, the mechanism may require slightly more precise alignment:

  • Keep the general directions the same, but nudge one disc at a time by a small increment.
  • After each adjustment, pause briefly to see if the door triggers, instead of spinning all three randomly.

You do not need to have visited any of the outdoor murals for the solution to work; the game only checks the final positions of the discs.

Rewards and Recommendation

Solving the Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle unlocks the back room and grants you an Abyss‑tier item (high‑grade artifact/gear) that acts as a strong early‑game power spike. It is worth doing shortly after you establish your Hernand‑area camp: the stat boost makes combat noticeably easier, and the puzzle itself is a good introduction to how Crimson Desert hides solutions in murals, terrain features, and stylized maps.
